New neighbors, suspicious activity...

There was another suv there today when I got home about 6:30 and a guy just sitting inside. Not sure how long he had already been there, but it was an hour after I got home before he left. Just sitting in the truck, really strange...

I'll pull off in to a neighborhood and sit in front of someone's house for up to 2 hours at a time, if I'm on a conference call, etc. There really are legit explanations to everything you are describing. How about instead of being a complete pussy, you go knock on the door, tell them you've noticed what you believe to be suspicious activity? Give them a chance to explain what really could be nothing, before you go calling the cops on them?


Calling the cops is a chicken shit thing to do, IMHO. I'd make your life living hell if you were my neighbor, regardless if I was doing anything wrong or not. Seems to me you are blaming them for your house being broken in to, even though it happened before they moved in.


Man, I'm SO glad my neighbors and I get along. The only ones I've ever had problems with, have moved out and the house is for sale. And they were on the receiving end of me being an asshole, due to blocking my driveway, parking in front of my house, etc. Here and there is fine. But when my guests didn't have places to park, every single weekend, only then did I have a problem.

Nothing really much you can do. Suspicion is just that, suspicion. I've called the cops on my lease house neighbors across the street many times for playing loud obnoxious music at 3am on a work night. The shut it down right before the cops arrive and there is nothing they can do if they don't catch them in the act of creating a disturbance.
