Parked at West Village at 9:30, walked to cityplace, rode the train to Lovers, walked to Siegels and bought a 15 dollar bottle of Jim Beam and a couple of cokes and watched the parade from the Siegels parking lot....the next few hours were kinda blurry. I have a headache. Goodnite.

Parked right by it off Greenville on one of the side streets. Then moved a few hours later and parked at the 7/11 and went bar hoping over there.

woke up at 9am, drove to the lakes apartments in the village
parked my car there at 9:20am
rode a bicycle to lovers & greenville
watched the parade with some cousins i meet there
after the parade see rodney(naynay) riding by on a bike
chill with him and eventually meet up with him later on in the day
rode my bike thru the sea of people walking down greenville. it was awesome
went around the block party cause that is not really my thing
rode the surrounding neighborhoods and looked at all the action
rode to south dallas to visit a friend
rode back up greenville and get flagged down by rodney
ride the side streets and make it to an apt party on gaston
hang out with rodney and his friends and party
ride all the way back up greenville to lovers, then to my car
get back to car at 8:20pm
picked up some gyros for dinner
shower, pass out in bed





...and just think, i wasn't even sure if i wanted to go! i will be for sure going again next year if it is going on, and i will 100% be riding a bike again. it is fucking awesome on the bike, fuck walking! lol

8am-2pm party in the Office Depot parking lot at Lovers and Greenille, 3-6pm at Scruffie Duffies and then done.

My phone was unable to connect to 4G at all, kept telling me it was international roaming, and took forever to send text messages...but it did still work for the most part.

people always try to talk shit about dallas and how shitty it is, well we just had a huge party with an estimated 100,000 people and there were no riots/looting/shootings/etc. sure bad things happen in dallas just like other cities, but we can also act right and have a damn good time without fucking it all up. i know this post is kind of out of nowhere, i just am proud to be a dallas native and hope the st patties day parade never dies! i know it was just my first time going, but damn i had a great time and i think everyone else who went did as well. check out the stats i found form the event:

The police just sent along the day's stats: 12 cop calls, 13 towed cars, 214 parking tickets and two dozen or so arrests, including 16 for public intoxication and five biggies: three aggravated assaults, an assault on a public servant and a felony theft, almost definitely of a Sourdough Jack. (Note: These stats were updated at 10:04 p.m., per the updated police figures.)

i don't think that is bad at all considering the amount of people there. hell i saw more than 2 dozen people passed out in front lawns! lol

Yeah most of the PD was cool. I went up to one of the Sargents and shot the shit with him for a bit.

i had an undercover give me a piece of rope to tie up my bicycle since i stupidly didn't bring one. even though i put the bike in my cousins car, i still thought that was pretty cool he offered it. i even saw some of them(older officers) wearing beads and sitting on lawn chairs! lol

This year was tame for me.. Hung out with some friends I haven't seen in a while and stayed sober.

Last year I was hanging with an off duty sheriff that was posing on top of a DPD Tahoe. She was hammered and knew the leo that was driving it. That was wild.

I saw one of those assault cases! This Mexican chick just started talking trash and wailing on some dude, then tried to fight the cops.

We watched some dude beating his girlfriend as we got there, other guys were running accross the street to stop him.
