  • Anyone having AT&T 4G Data Issues?

Switched all the phones over to a business account and now none of my 4G phones have data.

3G is fine but no 4G whatsoever..

Just seeing if anyone knows of an issue I am unaware of or if this half-ass Moto Atrix2 is kicking it after a month?

    The iPhones data works still.

Same shit happened with Verizon about 5 months ago to me too.

    Anyone wanna do some digging??

    TIA

Please remember if you have a iPhone 4s IT DOES NOT have 4G.

Just because AT&T told Apple you must put 4G icon on the phone on the new ios5.1 update, IT DOES NOT have 4G.

This is a marketing gimik that AT&T is using because it uses the HSPA+ network and anyone that knows about networks, knows HSPA+ is not 4G.

True 4G is the 4g LTE network that AT&T, VZ are brining out.

Edit: I just double checked the Atrix2. It uses the same fake HSPA+ 4G.

        HSPA+ never will be 4G.

AT&T only did that because they tried and fail to buy T-mobile which was the first wireless carrier to advertise it. AT&T only did it because they use the same style network and wanted to keep that marketing campaign going. Now it failed they have to keep with it.

Since the update I'd say data is worse for me as well.

Coworker said his data is incredibly fast, though not true 4G, it's a big improvement. This is on an iphone. I haven't done the update yet.

Mostly true. ATT/TMob/Sprint all lobbied the ITU to be able to call or designate HSPA+(ATT-TMob) and WiMax(Sprint) 4G, thus the ITU loosened the criteria for what could pass as 4G. The original definition of 4G is still far more stringent than what they're serving up in our current LTE markets.
