  • GMC Acadia - good SUV?

wife saw one the other day and really likes it. Who here has any feedback on this vehicle?

Wife's friends have one. Love it. Although they did have some issue recently where the steering rack needed replaced (under warranty).

The best for them is the 3rd row with 2nd row captains chairs. No more kids poking each other.

I had one as a rental in LA a couple of years ago. It was a decently fun SUV, had some nice features, and can carry a 42" plasma standing upright. I drove the piss out of it through the hills and didn't have any issues. Standard Chebby interior plastics though FWIW.

I bought a 2010 LT1 Traverse(same platform) I was going to trade it in on a 2011 Tahoe but when I drove the Tahoe I didn't like it as much, so I just upgraded to an 2011 LTZ Traverse. We have put 10k miles on it in 8 months and it rocks. The only complaint I have and maybe the Acadia is better with it but road noise is excessive.

yea acadia got 7.4 in road noise, and enclave got 8.3 so buick must ride better noise wise.

You know what sucks about a Buick? It's a Buick.

It's the same vehicle as our Saturn Outlook. Ours was a 2007, the first model year, and a total piece of sh!t. At 50k miles, it leaked oil, trans fluid, antifreeze(into the engine), wiper system had fallen apart, headlight bulb replaced 6 times, headlight wiring harness 3 times...I'm sure I'm forgetting some of the issues. My first and last Junky Motors product.

Not sure what year your looking at, but if you get one, I'd get he gold plated warranty and a good lawyer (like there is such a thing).

                    My 2 cents.

If you are looking to get a loaded down Arcadia, step up and buy the Enclave. I have ridden in both and there is no comparison.
