Are the only two options the Sti subaru and the Evo? If so, are those two good candidates? Any input on either of these cars? They look like fun sedans as a daily. Ever had one?

Subaru parts are expensive, and usually only procured through a dealer. With that being said, they seem to be either
A. Reliable enough that I don't get many requests for parts or
B. They just don't sell enough of them for people to commonly be asking for repair parts for them.
They seem to be decent cars from what I see. Pretty much the same deal with the Evo.

is an unwise move. I, up until recently, had a 2005.5 A4. VERY fun to drive, good on gas, comfortable, etc. However, when the cooling fans went out, it was $500 to replace the fan controller only to find out that it was going to cost another $1200+ to replace the fan assembly. Needless to say, I got rid of the car.
That being said, that one you posted the link to is sweeeet. And if I had to guess, it will probably go for $21k+."It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."
