  • fun turbo sedan as a daily?

Are the only two options the Sti subaru and the Evo? If so, are those two good candidates? Any input on either of these cars? They look like fun sedans as a daily. Ever had one?

A4s come in turbo and now supercharged flavors. Most recent 3 series BMWs had turbo'd motors, Subaru Legacys also have turbo motors if you want something a bit bigger.

That's a new take on that comment. Well played.

Subaru parts are expensive, and usually only procured through a dealer. With that being said, they seem to be either

              A. Reliable enough that I don't get many requests for parts or
              B. They just don't sell enough of them for people to commonly be asking for repair parts for them.

They seem to be decent cars from what I see. Pretty much the same deal with the Evo.

I need valve cover gaskets for my 02 WRX. Other than usual maintenance, I've had two issues with mine in ten years, one of which was my fault. And while their parts are a bit on the high side, I would say that the Audis and BMWs mentioned in this thread cost quite a bit more to maintain/repair.

Okay, not exactly a steal. I can guarantee that that car moves more quickly than you'd expect, and those cars respond really well to sway bar upgrades as well. I'd bite, but I'd rather have an S4 with the V8 for that money, even if it isn't any quicker.

                        An Audi without either
                        A) a full warranty
                        or
                        B) several thousand saved for parts and/or repairs
is an unwise move. I, up until recently, had a 2005.5 A4. VERY fun to drive, good on gas, comfortable, etc. However, when the cooling fans went out, it was $500 to replace the fan controller only to find out that it was going to cost another $1200+ to replace the fan assembly. Needless to say, I got rid of the car.

That being said, that one you posted the link to is sweeeet. And if I had to guess, it will probably go for $21k+.

For a couple grand more can get a 2 year newer car with half the miles and new body/interior.
Not the Sline 6 speed, but I am sure it can be found:
