There was this one guy that used to post here that had something along those lines. He left in a temper tantrum, but I bet someone here knows him on facebook.

Depending on if my son is actually into cars later in life (i'm trying to get him on the right track now...he turns 2 in May), i would like to get him an older car, like an 03-04 GT or maybe a 05, and make it our father/son "project". That way when he gets old enough to drive it he (hopefully) will have more respect for the vehicle knowing what he put into it. Take some pride in his ride and also learn a thing or two along the way.

But ill be keeping my 11 GT.

If I have car worth passing onto my boy when I kick the bucket, maybe. As for giving him a car when he's old enough to drive, I'll do exactly as my parents did for me........buy him a beater that can get him from Point A to Point B. He can purchase whatever vehicle he wants when he's able to pay for it & the insurance himself.

I'm planning on giving my 12 year old my 2008 FJ when he turns 16, unless of course he buys himself something else. My first car was a '78 Jeep CJ that we paid $1k for in 1986. It was a POS, but it ran.

I got such mixed feelings on this topic.

My dad made me buy my own car and pay for everything. He did help me with painting and installing motor etc..

Anyways.. if they deserve it yeah I would pass something on to them.

My son already thinks my Land Cruiser is his, and he is only 5.

Same. My dad has spoiled me with cars. So ill probably do the same as long as it is deserved
