2010 Dodge Pickups?

    I bought a new 2003 dodge and had it till last year when I sold it to get a suburban. I loved that truck! The seats left a bit to be desired but other than that and some warranty work that happened the first year I had it, the thing ran like a champ!

    I have heard alot of good stuff about the new ones, Im personally not a fan of the exterior styling though. My favorites were the models like I had.

      5 year / 100K mile warranty. People I know who have the new Rams are very happy with overall performance, especially those that stepped up to the Hemi.

        wow i thought i was the only one, although i have had to rebuild 2 autos on the diesels at around 240k other than that nothing much except ball joints around the same mileage.
        95 dodge 2500 2wd 5spd with only 260k diesel
        96 dodge 2500 2wd auto with 406k diesel
        2000 2500 2wd 5sp with 190 (only non stock truck of the bunch) diesel
        2005 1500 hemi 2wd auto with just 60k
        2005 3500 4x4 laramie diesel auto 265k
        2007 1500 2wd hemi auto 70k (wifes truck)
        only non dodge truck is a 2005 f250 4x4 lariat with 130k that i have torn apart redo the head bolts cause they stretched .. dont buy a 6.0 diesel!!

        and i still have all of them and they are used daily

          I have been test driving them for about a year now waiting to pay down some debt to get a new one. When I was looking at the '10's I could have bought a Laramie with NAV for 28,000. Anyone know if they have started the badass deals on the '11's yet? Thinking about picking one up when I get home in feb.

              The dodge 5 speed actually has 6 gears. It has 2 second gears...one for off the line accelleration, and a higher second for downshifts on the highway. Pretty good ratios and it works just fine, cheaper to rebuild later and generates less heat with fewer shifts. It's been around since 2001 or so and we had 4 of the transmissions in trucks over the years. Zero problems.

              It would have helped their performance.

              Never heard of a vehicle having two 2nd gears? Off line acceleration?? That would be first would it not? My jap truck is a 6 speed auto and so is my brothers 6.2 chevy truck. Nothing wrong with the way they shift what so ever.

              But like I said earlier, I think they look great now days. Plus they put the 5.7 in all trim levels for the most part. Ford and Chevy only put their 6.2's in trucks most people can't afford.

                I had an 07 Hemi QC...ran like a champ! Loved that truck but sold it to get a Power Stroke!
