2010 Dodge Pickups?

Anybody have one? Im seriously thinking about getting one... found one here with 13,xxx miles, and the "Big Horn" package for $23,998... but I have never owned a dodge, and heard they are pieces of shit in the past....

My buddy has one its fully loaded with all the bells and whistles.. I rode in it its pretty smooth but damn it, it was a turd! And I dont like what they have done with the rear bumper and exhaust.. I mean shit you get rear ended not only do you need a new bumper now you got fucked up tailpipes.. I mean its a truck leave it alone and to top it off it had an indash dvd player. That according to him will not work while driving??? He said it had to be modded to be played while driving?? I dunno about that! If thats true ^5 to Dodge last thing we need is another distraction on the road.

I have owned a 2009 dodge which is the same body and motor and loved it had the Hemi so it had plenty of power and on the highway I was getting 19 to 20 if I used cruise control the only reason why I got rid of it was that I was pulling a car trailer almost everyday so I upgraded to a diesel dually.

My buddy just bought a brand new 2010 quadcab(2WD, 5.7H) for $25k out the door. No leather, but just about everything else. He likes it. The only complaint he has is, it seems to be at load capacity(in the bed) too quick for his taste. He put a half pallet of deer corn in the back and it was riding pretty low.

There isnt a driver viewable in dash DVD player on the market (stock or aftermarket) that comes out of the box able to watch while your driving. Its against the law.

It sounds to me like you just want to bitch about him getting a Dodge. Those new Rams are the shit. And they are making really great deals on them right now...

94 shortbox 4x4 360

96 short ext cab 4x4

99 short box quad cab 4x4

2000 shortbox quad cab diesel 2500 2wd

2004 shortbox 4 door hemi 2wd

and now I have a 2008 4 door diesel 3500

Not one of those trucks ever had to be taken to the dealership for any repair of any kind

G/F has a 2010 laramie I drive all the time.....as nice as any BMW SUV or Porsche SUV I've driven. Even a lot of fun on the race track.

Don't get the 4.7 small V8...it's a dog in a 5500lb truck. The hemi hauls ass and she stills gets 20 on the hwy.

Truck is great. I also still love my 2008 1500. It needs more power to match the new 380hp hemi's but with 3.92's, it moves really well and get aweome mileage.

99% of the bitch stories you hear about dodges are usually 3rd hand accounts given by someone who heard a cousin's grandfather bitch about a 1984 dodge pickup.....well duh, everything sucked in 1984.

I'd have a new 2011 Ram in the driveway right now if it came without a car payment.

When we bought her 2010, we drove the Ford (it was shitty and overpriced with no power), three different Chevy's and GMC's, one with the 6.0L and it was a basic truck for $10k more than the fully loaded laramie...and it rode like shit, drove the Toyota and it was a close second to the Ram, but it too was way overpriced.

We left the lot with her truck fully loaded, for 29,300. That's leather, DVD, heated and a/c seats, heated steering wheel and just about everything on the option list except the bed liner, NAV and TracLok...but with the stability program it isn't needed.

Buy with confidence when looking at the new rams!

Why? So they can hunt for gears all day? I hear that complaint all the time about the Chevy's and Exploders. Toyota seemed fine but what's the rebuild cost going to be?

The dodge 5 speed actually has 6 gears. It has 2 second gears...one for off the line accelleration, and a higher second for downshifts on the highway. Pretty good ratios and it works just fine, cheaper to rebuild later and generates less heat with fewer shifts. It's been around since 2001 or so and we had 4 of the transmissions in trucks over the years. Zero problems.

This is true, and I have to admit, I'm usually saying these things. Not necasarilly in the thread, but I'm saying them. And that guy that's speaking third hand info? That's me too. I've never owned a dodge. I've known several people that did, but not me.

The reason I'm not saying it now is because ALL interiors suck these days! My 10 year old suburban has half a dozen or more broke peices of plastic in it! Leather seats are worn out, electrical stuff not working, etc., etc.

Dodge has always had solid engines, 318, hemi, and using the cummins deisels. I've always thought the Dodge interiors were about 10 years behind the times, but that's just my opinion.
