Why wouldn't he? And what's the problem with him doing it? He didn't shoot the guy. What is the problem?

I can see this happening if he didn't:
"Hey, could you stop for a second? Cool, i'm a cop, you're going to be arrested. Wait, don't run bro!"

    hahahahaah, fucking serious?

I'm wondering were all the defense of someone who felt the need to record himself out doing a wheelie in fucking highway traffic at 130mph is coming from.

      Where is the confusion?
It's ok for riders to jump to the defense of their own, even when they're clearly in the wrong, but god forbid anyone defend a cop on here.
I'm not saying the guy didn't need a fat ticket, I agree with you there. Was drawing his weapon really necessary? OH NOES HE HAS GLOVES ON! Better pull my sidearm. Do you not see the problem with a cop getting out of the car and pulling his gun without any valid reason? He was on a bike, he didn't have anything in his hands. There was no justification for drawing his weapon. Hell, I'd go so far as to give the officer a *little* more leeway if the guy had been in a car. Also, how do you know he was doing 130? He could have been doing an 80- 90 MPH wheelie. Speed limits aren't as high in other parts of the country as they are here in TX. In the Chicago area when I was there a couple years ago the highest I saw was 55, and when I lived in PA, 60.

Oh, sure, let's just let any LEO roll up on people and pull their guns on them all willy nilly like. Don't be a dipshit.

        He had valid reason.
He was making an stop while not in uniform.
He was preparing to arrest a criminal still on a bike that could flee in a heart beat.
He just witnessed the reckless behavior of the driver first hand.

I see plenty of reason, and would expect to be fucking tackled off my bike.

Stop being self righteous stupid fucks.
On top of that, the cop immediately holsters it. Didn't do anything crazy.
        What's all the crying for?

          Stop being a stupid fuck.
Next time a officer pulls you over maybe if he waves his gun around you might find your insurance card faster.

I am far from the FTP crowd, in fact you might say I normally side with the police. In this case the cop was wrong, there was no reason to pull a gun while conducting what appeared to be a off duty traffic stop. Clearly he was trying to run from the unmarked car that boxed him in and had a armed man jump out of it. That cop was drawing even before he got out of the car.

So stupid fuck, where in this video do you see justification for a weapon to be drawn?

I see it all over the fact that he didn't break any laws or department regulations by doing it.
That's where i see it. It was fucking deserved.
Going twice the legal speed limit, in traffic, videotaping himself just to be cool. I see it deserved all over that video.

I don't think i'll have any issue with a cop drawing on me since i don't plan on acting like a fucking moron.

Not a valid reason, who cares if he was in uniform or not. He should still have some form of ID on him that shows he's a LEO.

Shooting people while running, totally justified....
He just witnessed the reckless behavior of the driver first hand.
You have yet to justify why the weapon was necessary.

I'd have had no problem with the guy being tackled off his bike if the situation warranted it, but it didn't even require that level of force, let alone a weapon. Stop thinking just because someone broke a law a cop can do whatever they please. Fuck that guy on the bike, and DOUBLE fuck that cop for pulling his weapon without justification.

No shit. That guy is a stumpfucker. "I haven't done anything wrong, so I've got nothing to hide" is essentially his argument there.

                  Magnus. Papers, comrade.

"Dude, i'm just breaking the law, proving myself to be a danger to not only myself, and those around me. I'm just a good guy, really."
Fucking lol at that mentality. Don't break the law, don't get treated like a dumbass.

It's absolutely goddamn amazing to me to you idiots think the cop did something wrong here. He didn't even point the fucking gun at him. To the side and down the whole time. What a fucking trip you guys are. As soon as the rider showed himself to not be a threat, he immediately holstered it.

You need to do some reading about this situation ... you are clearly misinformed.

The cop did do something illegal if it had happened in Texas. ... I don't feel like wading through Maryland's state laws so for the sake of this conversation lets assume it was in Texas.

Sec. 22.02. AGGRAVATED ASSAULT. (a) A person commits an offense if the person commits assault as defined in Sec. 22.01 and the person:
                            (1) causes serious bodily injury to another, including the person's spouse; or
                            (2) uses or exhibits a deadly weapon during the commission of the assault.
                            (b) An offense under this section is a felony of the second degree, except that the offense is a felony of the first degree if:
                            (1) the actor uses a deadly weapon during the commission of the assault and causes serious bodily injury to a person whose relationship to or association with the defendant is described by Section 71.0021(b), 71.003, or 71.005, Family Code;
                            (2) regardless of whether the offense is committed under Subsection (a)(1) or (a)(2), the offense is committed:
                            (A) by a public servant acting under color of the servant's office or employment;

Sec. 22.05. DEADLY CONDUCT. (a) A person commits an offense if he recklessly engages in conduct that places another in imminent danger of serious bodily injury.

I am sure if I keep looking there are more. Like I said earlier, normally I support the police. In this case the cop was way wrong. The rider was also wrong for doing 130 or so while setting a wheelie down (I don't condone wheelies on the highway and never will) ..The rider did nothing to warrant a gin being pulled on him then after the cop saw the video online the rider was charged with wire-taping.

Do some fucking reading, then come back and talk intelligently. I will be glad to debate this once you aren't so naive.

So you're saying the rider exhibited Deadly Conduct. Seems like the officer was correct in drawing his weapon in Texas too. Thanks for proving me right!
"recklessly engages in conduct that places another in imminent danger of serious bodily injury."

Also, no assault was committed. So, again, you're wrong.
