Oh, look at that ... officer double-talk is in here humping a fucking doorknob again. Who would have thought?

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

When a LEO doesn't see an issue with tracking someone without a warrant, then that's part of the problem

For the FEDS yes. They only had to have approval from a US ADA. The local/state po po had to have a warrant from a District Judge in the county where the tracker would be placed. Been the law here in Texas since these things showed up. Check the CCP...

Or using aircraft or satellites to track someone?

That seems to be perfectly legal according to this opinion.

So what you are saying is that you'd rather waste $50,000 of taxpayer's money to track someone, or a $100 tool?
Did you really imply in this statement that it would be better for you to collect information illegally due to it being cheaper?

Wow guy, you are really showing your ass.

I was showing the irony that someone could be tracked by going around the GPS route, just that it would be more expensive.

And from what I've seen, you like looking at my tail since you continuously follow it around and criticize it.

Mine have been nothing but positive. Since the Supreme Court weighed in on the side of the citizenry in this case however, I must defer to their decision as being the correct one in my opinion.

I'm about as worried of this as I am concerned that questionable tactics are used for interrogating terrorists.
Confirming that we should only worry about law enforcement abuses that happen to have a direct effect us. Outside of that realm, it should be a Gestapo style free for all because the ends certainly justify the means in this case. Someone just offered to sell me crack this morning in my driveway!

You keep parroting that "tracking" comment, and yet this decision doesn't have JACK SHIT to do with tracking, it was the fact that law enforcement was placing a device on PRIVATE PROPERTY without a warrant in order collect evidence, which is illegal.

Read it nice and slow.. placing a device (collection of evidence) - on the vehicle (private property) - without a warrant (violation of 4th Amendment) is unlawful.

You can try to spin it, parrot some stupid shit about open tracking, spout shit about costs, it doesn't matter, it is a cop trespassing onto/into private property to collect evidence without a warrant.

On the topic of following someone around, you are an expert it seems, considering how you CAN NOT let a thread like this one slip by without making at least 20% of the posts....
