    By that analogy, I shouldn't give a shit about any cops getting shot. It doesn't affect me, right? But I do give a shit.

    It's not like the police never abuse their power, right? Oh wait...

      They say that apathy kills, but I don't care.

        It's a simple matter of rights. Believe it or not, people that you suspect of a crime do have them.
        What's up your ass?

        I didn't realize making a post would focus this on me.

        The right to bear arms - I care.

        Putting a GPS on my car - Don't care.

        What's the odds of this actually happening to any one here????

        Pick your battles guys.

          Freedom will never be outright taken. It will be chiseled away at, through minor legislation, over the course of decades.

            Nothing. I'm just honestly shocked that a self-described conservative would not have a problem with government overstepping its authority.
            When the government pays, the government controls.

              Guys, I just get tired of all the pissing and moaning on this topic, but not one person is active in trying to actually making a change.

              Whine about this, whine about that is all I see. Fkcu it gets old.

                The Supreme Court was pretty active in making a change here.

                  The minority opinion also made it crystal clear that they were aware of how this would translate into other areas if it wasn't dealt with. IE, how law enforcement would abuse this ability to track people. Which is kind of the point of the people bitching in this thread. No reasonable person on here is going to think that the FBI is going to track them in this manner, you would think that would be obvious but I guess not.

                    When the Nazis came for the communists,
                    I remained silent;

                    When they locked up the social democrats,
                    I remained silent;

                    When they came for the trade unionists,
                    I did not speak out;

                    When they came for the Jews,
                    I didn't speak up,
                    because I wasn't a Jew.

                    When they came for me,
                    there was no-one left
                    to speak out.

                    In other words, if people don't bitch about something that isn't right just because it doesn't affect them, then eventually it may be them. Our govt isn't going to suddenly turn us into slaves. They are doing it a little at a time so that we don't rise up against them. Because, after all, it doesn't affect me.

                      Plus, they don't need those anymore. We have cell phones with gps and they have drones to spy on us when they want.

                          Bitching about it does not equal doing something about it.
