A nationwide increase of almost 3 million, no the math doesn't look odd to me.

    1. In 2008 more than 55 million children were in preK-12 schools with 90% enrolled in public schools. The total by 2020 is predicted to be 57.9 million with 91% in public school. Texas is among the top four schools in projected increase in public school enrollment by 2020—Texas = 23%, Alaska = 25%, Arizona = 26%, and Nevada = 28%.

STFU, dude. I don't know what your hard-on for me is and why you like to give me so much shit, but I'm not complaining about anything. I fucking LOVE my job and wouldn't do anything else regardless of the pay. I'm graduating with a Masters in May and won't be doing what I'm getting certified in (even though it would be at least a $15k/year jump) because I love what I'm doing right now.

As I said in the original post, I copied/pasted from our message board. It was something our instructor had posted. Don't like it? GTFO.

    Now...where are my potato skins??

No, I just thought you meant that as in your wife was looking for a teaching job...carry on.

I know one thing, some of those people of color need to keep their legs closed and stop fucking like rabbits and wanting a free handout at school for their kids.

Know nothing about? Sister had been teaching 11 years, both parents taught over 35 years each. So why don't you go back to your $11/hr gubment job and piss off

The subject reads "interesting facts" not, "look at what I have to deal with."

Besides, a lot of people bitch about their job. I worked til almost midnight last night, it sucked. I bitch quite often but it doesn't mean I am not thankful for my job. Everyone complains about their job one time or another.

On another note, I have to admit since working where I'm at now (private charter school system) I kinda have a whole new respect for teachers and the level of dedication they have to doing their job. As far as pay, I have no idea what a teacher could make but I don't think it's that much when you break it down to the number of hours they put it in each week. Not to mention with having to deal with state funding and budget cuts which ultimately affects pay raises.
