Im getting lazy and have started outsourcing work. The people are usually from India/Pakistan/Ukraine/etc but damn is it cheap and fast. I have been screwing with a week of spreadsheets trying to combine information and researching all the information on the net myself. Its TERRIBLE. I found vworker and elance and holy crap. You can have people do your homework, spreadsheets, websites, etc.
I have been trying to combine stores and numbers from 7 websites for a couple days now into excel. Each site is different so you cant easily just copy/paste. Need a VB script to delete every 5 lines down a 6500 line spreadsheet. I got someone else doing it for $15. I have wasted 5 hours on it and didnt seem to get far.
Also have another guy going over a list of 2100 websites, getting the contact emails and emailng them asking for their information... $21. 2100 WEBSITES!!
maybe my thesis when I get my masters wont be terrible.
