You can do a complete 4.8 for $450, with 4l60e for $650 and if you can fab, you don't need a k-member swap. Just build custom mounts for the stock K. 4.8's have a great rod to stroke ratio, thick cylinder walls and a beefy bottom end. Not too bad of a swap, I've done a few. There is a few custom bits you wont be able to do, but it's not a hard swap by any means.

I made a few passes saturday. My best was a 7.9 at 93 mph with a 2.1 short time. Guess that is what I get for taking a road course car to a drag strip.
