I'm not a fan crossbreed cars. I've seen too many Chevy powered Fords, Pontiacs & everything else. If I wanted to build an LSX motor.....I'd put it in a Chevy.
On old orphaned cars, such as Studebakers, Packards etc. engine swaps are OK, but make it interesting....500 Cadillac? 455 Buick? Gen 1 Hemi?
That said, for a Fox Body, I go for Windsor stroker, or a 4V 4.6/5.4 with a supercharger or turbocharger.

I have a built 4v and a modular k member, so we might end up with a ford powered ford.
I have had an NPI, a PI, a PI swap, and a 4V modular and I have to say LSx. Hell the LT1 in my fireturd has more balls than pretty much any of the mod motors that I had.
Id go stroked windsor. will not require a k-member swap, can easily make 500+ rwhp n/a or endless possibilities with power adders. parts are abundant in terms of what combo you want. cross breeding is pointless when the same power can be had with the right combo for the same or less money.
let's do some hauling...pick up a load of hay with the fox
Hey if this guy can build a Duramax Grand National I dont see why another can't build a Mustang Turbo Diesel...although maybe I shoulda said PowerStroke instead:
