Wow, I'd not be able to remarry if my wife passed and we were on good terms like we've been for years.

My mom is going to be buried with my dad (first husband, and only so far). When he was buried last year she set up the plot so she will be cremated and buried above him on the same plot*. There is one large marker that has my dad's info on it and "Together Forever" in the middle with a spot on the bottom for my mom's info to be added. My mom knows that even if she gets remarried in the future he'll always be "the one". They were married for 31 years before he passed.



*What a fuckin' scam this is. They charge you about 1.5 times the rate for the plot when the first person is buried and you still have for the burial for the second person. It's almost no cheaper than getting two plots.

When my step grandpa died he was buried next to his first wife, and when my grandma dies she will be buried next to my grandpa.

I think if your first marriage was long and happy you should be buried with that spouse. Now if you are married to someone and they die after a couple of years and then remarry and spend most of your life with the 2nd, get buried with that one.
