Is it safe to assume he can not afford a lawyer? If so, I think he needs to call and find out in a manner that won't get him easily tracked down and arrested.
Problem is the people answering the phone could be wrong (Most members here at least will try to answer correctly) and keeping track of names (of the people he talked to and such) won't really help.
It just seems like that is his only option if he can't swing a lawyer to advise him properly.
I know these things happen, but anytime I have something due like this it drives me crazy until I take care of it. Really glad too, since I know several people in this situation from time to time.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

I got one a few years ago from DPD. I had planned to take DD and submitted it as that, but they fucked up and caused it to go to warrant. I said fuck them and their fucked up system, so I paid a lawyer $80. He got the warrant AND ticket dismissed. That was the only time I have used a lawyer for a ticket.Last edited by line-em-up; 03-05-2012, 07:37 AM.

In Irving, after 90 days of a ticket being in warrant status, the fine goes up $100.
I had one a while ago and I just went to the court house and paid it. After it goes to warrant, I don't think you have the ability to fight it even with an attorney.Ded

well my ass got pulled over last night on the tollway right before GB by a state trooper for my "headlights being to bright". I have HID's in the civic with a black housing which was this way when i bought it. Didn't think anything of it.
well he gives me a citation for that and also tells me that he should be taking me to jail because of a warrant. I then asked him i wasn't aware of it and how should i go about finding out about this warrant, his answer " don't know and its not my problem, have a nice night"
so my question still stands, i do not remember being pulled over and getting a ticket for anything in a couple of years....

That kind of stance by an officer is what gives all the other decent ones a bad rep.
