  • Fishing Kryptonite put to the test tomorrow..

I'm headed back out to Galveston tomorrow night for a 36 hour tuna safari in the Gulf of Mexico. It looks like we are going out to Boomvang which is about 120 miles out.

I am going to try to break the dry fishing spell.

just curious..when you are out that long do you wear a dramamine patch? my brother in law got sick as a dog one time on those long excursions because he didn't think he would have any problems. he made it about 12 hours. somebody on the boat gave him some benadryl, which helped him out immensely.

We bring quick acting and long acting dramamine. The last trip killed us because we drove down to Galveston and got there at 3:40, unpacked at the dock and at 5:00 the guy from the charger arrived and told us that the trip was cancelled. We had already taken the dramamine and we drove back like zombies.

Have fun, and good luck. I need to make one of these trips, but the boat we usually go on does a 56 hour, and apparently most of that is out and back. I'd also probably have to buy a deep freeze, looking at their hauls.

Did you see the haul that they pulled in on the Scat Cat on Jan 20th?

I will take a bunch of pics and add them after we get back.

I'll have a mod move this to the pic/vid forum then.

only time I got close to getting sea sickness was on a 6hr boat ride where I couldn't see the horizon. as long as I can see the horizon, I'm good to go

Damn! I've seen several of the tuna hauls. No that many people and tons of fish!

I don't remember the price. They have a number on that site. The do not go for tuna very often, but seem to have good success when they do.
