  • Viper GTS owners inside.... or guys that have driven one

I've always wanted to get one but can't justify paying the $$$ for one. Help steer me either way. It would only be a weekend car that will sit in the garage unless it's pretty close to perfect weather outside. And ocasionally valet it at the bar/club.

I'm usually pretty cheap but I figured you only live once and I'm thinking of diving in.

I've read a lot about them but have never driven one much less owned one. I've sat in them and that's about it.

Oh and I'm thinking a 2nd gen Viper gts. (96-02)

Right now I own an 02 Yamaha R1 and an 01 Audi TT. They're both paid for.

Drives like a UPS truck, but still a pretty sweet ride for a fun only/weekend cruiser.

The few i have driven, have beaten the hell out of me. By far the roughest ride of any car I've ever driven.

Rough ride and overall cheap with no attention to detail. Wires hanging all over the place, too much plastic, etc. Fun to do donuts but a long drive sucks.

I have driven the all electric Tesla version. It wasn't any better.

I've been told that if you hit a good enough pothole/bump you could bend the frame fairly easily. That alone made me weary to drive it on Texas roads.

If you get one, don't be like most of the douche owners, and want it parked up front and then tip like shit.
