I had a 97 GTS, fun car. Rode a little rough but not terribly bad. I drove it from Dallas to OKC and Shreveport many times it got 14mpg hell my GT500 gets 10-12mpg. I am 6.4 had no issues with int room getting in and out was a pain at first. Body panel fit sucked ass and had alot of body flex. The ac sucked as well but if you want brute torque monster it's your car.

Kicked around the idea a few years ago, then bought a z06.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

That's what I would do if I was in the market.

Wow that low? I get roughly. 18/19 from Waco to Houston. Yeah there is a trick getting in and out. Its also easy to lower the seat 2inches.

Parts aren't that expensive..compared to a fox sure...

Long tube headers and free flow exhaust makes the a/c "not suck".

Its a racecar that dodge made street legal. Comparing it to a vette or porches is apples and oranges.

My gts gets around 18 mpg on the freeway so something must have been wrong with your car if it only got 14.Lower seat brackets are a must with tall people.

I dig the Viper GTS, but I'd rather get a used Porsche Cayman S

They're rear exit, but the pipes are still routed right under the door so it's still very hot (at least on the first few years, I don't know if they changed it later).

I went to look at a couple of them today and I think I'm going to sleep on it over the weeend. Come monday or tuesday I'll make the decision.

Like most have said, it's like a cockpit in there and it's a rough ride but I really liked them.

Do it. I would love to have a viper, but to much money. That why I would go with a srt 10 ram.

I was always playing around on trips going through traffic changing gears so forth, probably could have done better on mileage. I agree with you on the comparison had a Z06 and a Porsche those are more driver friendly than the viper.

never driven one but much more rare than a vette. cops will pull you over all the fucking time and that v-10 will keep you at the gas station. i would actually like to have one but i know i dont need a car like that. if you like it and have the money i say its a sweet car that will be fun and get you lots of attention. i would be jealous
