Latest update: My brother has had another EEG (with his new doctor) and an MRI. He got the results back and both tests came back normal, showing no signs of seizure disorder. For the time being he's going to continue taking Kepra till his next follow up.

We have mixed feelings about the whole situation, the news is bittersweet in the sense that we don't want anything to be wrong with him, but we want to figure out what's causing them. It may come down to him having another EEG, just one that lasts longer. 3 of his seizures have happened while he was sleeping, so there could be something connecting his brain activity when he sleeps and the seizures.

Well after another a follow up appointment with the neurologist, my brother has been officially diagnosed with epilepsy. Even though all test results have come back negative, the doctor is basing his diagnosis on the fact that he's had 5 seizures with no other cause. As of right now he'll continue on his medication for the foreseeable future. He's still not cleared to drive till September though, which sucks because I know he's ready to get back to driving.

Hope the Doc nailed it... Dual edged sword there. You want something absolute so you know how to treat it. Yet not something that is really bad/untreatable.
