    Could use a prayer for my brother.

    Back in December my younger brother had a seizure out of the blue. Luckily he was with friends when it happened and he was taken to the hospital. After a short stay in the ER, the doctor that saw him cleared him to go home. From there he saw a neurologist who did an EEG and found no indication of what caused it. He was placed on an anti seize medication for a short time and was good to go.

    Just last night he had a second seizure and just had a third seizure this morning. Last week he went to see a new doctor who's also a neurosurgeon that came recommended to us by some friends. We just called the neurosurgeon and he wrote a prescription for an anti seize medication till he can get in for an EEG and an MRI.

    We're seeking some clarity as to what's causing this. Please keep my brother Brian in your thoughts and prayers.

            Wow-strange that it has an onset in adulthood. Hope you guys get some answers and if you need anything, let us know.

                We're definitely seeking answers as epilepsy doesn't run in my family. The first time epilepsy appeared in our family from the past 3 generations was with my nephew who's autistic. From what I understand, epilepsy appears more with autistic children.

                            Will say a prayer for your brother. He needs a brain MRI quick to see what's going on. Anti-seizure med (Keppra? Lyrica?, etc.) just blocks the symptoms and doesn't do anything to fix the problem.
