A lot of the above, Still working on not going out as much. When I do I'm never the one to buy everyone shots and have $80 tabs. I'm going to cancel my dish when it expires, just need to find out where to go on the internet to stream channels. For my house I put a radiator heater in the kitchen area, $35 and works awesome. considering getting one for my bathroom.

I guess I really haven't felt the effects that others seem to, either that or I'm not that old yet and still like to have fun, go out, eat out, etc...

I'm paying down my debt, and still doing everything I want, I have internet/cable, go out 2-3 nights a week. I guess it's all about balance rather than cutting one thing for another.

Being a single father I have learned alot about saving money..

1. Dont eat out as much
2. No sodas, juices, just bottled water
3. I cook large meals and we eat left overs
4. basic cell phone, no text messaging, internet.. I mean shit I grew up without a cell phone and survived. they can too
5. I have no cable service. My kids are outside playing 90% of the time. if we do watch TV.. we normally go and rent a few movies and throw in some popcorn.
6. lights off in every corner of the house unless its a must
7. I do all the preventive maintenance on my vehicles.
8. Theaters we eat before we go and bring our own bottled water, every now and them maybe some popcorn. But Im not spending an arm and a leg on the food.
9. there is alot of other little things you can do but these are the things i have really buckled down on.. and it has worked.
