V1 hands down because of the arrows. There's no use of a radar detector going off, when you dont know what direction radar is coming from.

I've always laughed at this. I guess I'm in the minority, but I don't need to know which direction it is coming from. If it goes off, I slow down. It really is that simple.

Yeah, that should be priority #1. Now, it would be nice to have a hint on which way to look - but not important in the grand scheme of things.

Admittedly, I have neither since I don't really...push things that much anymore. My heavy research about 4 years ago indicated the V1 and 8500. V1 was a little better and their CS is really good.

The 8500 had better aesthetics to me though.
