I have an 8500 in blue i'd sell for $150. Recently updated firmware by escort about 4 or 5 months ago. New case, new cords and new mount. Deal of the century....we have a V1 and I don't need this anymore.

Just a suggestion, but IMHO I would make sure you get lifetime maps no matter what. If you don't and want to update it, it can be pretty pricey. The traffic is a plus, too but I wouldn't consider that a 'must-have'.

V1 hands down because of the arrows. There's no use of a radar detector going off, when you dont know what direction radar is coming from.

Wal-Mart sells the various NUVIs for pretty cheap. I picked up my NUVI 1450 with lifetime maps and traffic (only useful in cities but damn useful) for 150 dollars. Screen is bigger than the 1350.

For a Radar detector I use a Beltronics Vector 995. I used to be a Cobra cheapo unit user until I bought the Vector. It has WAY better range. I usually pick them up even if they are using instant on from a long ways off when they light other people off. I'm usually running the speed limit for a good 2 or 3 miles before I ever see them. The Cobras I used before that had much shorter distances.

You can find Beltronics and Passports on craigslist for less than 150 bucks. Well worth that much IMO.
