          I was soo close to being out of debt minus the house. All I had was 4k in student loans. Then I went out and bought a BOSS 302!

            That is awesome. I've never carried a credit card balance for more than a couple months if I purchased something really big. Once I pay off my current truck I plan to drive it to 200k and never have another vehicle payment again with my house being my only debt. If things go to plan I'll be leasing this house out and buying another one to live in with the profits from one paying for over 50% of the other.

                      I've been debt free (except for the house payment) several times. Every time i get that last card paid off all hell breaks loose and i have to spend a bunch of money on some major repair and the card gets dinged once again. I can never get ahead of that cycle it seems

                        I have a car fetish and have been putting the wife thru college. I will pay mine off again friday and I hope it stays that way. LOL She graduates in May and we have only a house payment and my truck which I will be paying off in a few months.

                            Congrats! Mine is under $10k not including my f250, which is already worth more than what I owe. No mortgage.

                            My plan is to have it paid off in 7-8 months so I can move to CO, get a simple job with less stress, and downsize everything.
