    What happens in Vegas!
    And Shepherds we shall be

For thee, my Lord, for thee.

Power hath descended forth from Thy hand

Our feet may swiftly carry out Thy commands.

So we shall flow a river forth to Thee

And teeming with souls shall it ever be.

In Nomeni Patri Et Fili Spiritus Sancti

      Not free, it's "comped".

You are way over budget unless you need to do lines of coke off a hooker's ass every night. I gamble and rarely go over $200 a day, then again I'm usually up $1000-$1500 the first day and play off the casino's money.

My last trip I ended up $1200 down but lost quite a bit of that at a bachelor party with a limo and bottle service. Between the 10 of us we easily spent $7k at Rick's. It was a great time!

I honestly don't know, I don't gamble, but have been known to drink excessivly with friends. I am sure there are shows I might want to see, and plan on browsing around. I don't know much about the place and what all kinds of things there are to do there just planning on having a good time.

I'm going in the beginning of Feb and we got a room at the venetian for $90 a night and airfare cost us about $250 round trip. We will be there Tuesday through Saturday, but i don't expect to spend over $1200-1500 for everything

Ok, here's the deal. I'm the queen of discounts and when we go to Vegas, we dine and play hard, but on the cheap. I'll give you a few of my pointers at saving big:

1-look on Ebay at show tickets, entertainment options, etc. I have bought Cirque de Soleil tickets for 3 different shows and haven't paid over $100 for TWO tickets with really good seats. Also, there are some comedy shows on there as well as discount tickets for helicopter rides in the Grand Canyon, etc. Check it all. Two things I highly recommend are the Beatles Love show and the comic Vinnie Favorito.

2-Go to locals4vegas.com and check out their discounts. I have purchased several things from them and they will even take it to your hotel and leave it at the desk for you at no charge.

3-ALWAYS sign up for players cards at any hotel you gamble at (if you decide to gamble). That's how we stay for free. We aren't ballers, but the time we spend there equates to, on average, a free 3 night stay, a couple of buffet coupons per person and $40-$60 dollars in free play in the slot machines.

4-Las Vegas Hilton is the BEST hotel we have stayed at (as nice as the Bellagio) and is the most generous on comps, that we have found. The monorail is based there so you can take it from there to anywhere on the strip.

5-Eat at Ellis Island. They have an amazing breakfast that has HUGE portions for $3.99. I believe it was eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy and hash browns! They also have a decent deal on a steak that is surprisingly pretty good. For $5.99 you get a steak, fresh green beans, baked potato, salad and a MICROBREW beer. They are a small brewery so they've got some good stuff. Try the hefe. Their casino is pretty fun, too. It's a dinky, dinky casino, but it's got charm.

6-I've got a spreadsheet I made that lists a ton of stuff to do that is either cheap or free. I'd be more than happy to send it to you if you're interested.

7-Go to the Flair Bar outside of Harrah's. It's cool as shit.

8-If you can, rent a car and go through the Valley of Fire and Red Rock Canyon. Very cool.

9-If you like off-roading, rent a jeep and go on some of the desert byways. Also a very cool thing to do. We did Geo-caching while on the byways and had a blast.

              Anyway-that them theres my suggestions.

I didn't know they made an $800 bill.
Today refers to present time; was refers to the past; you cannot be in the past when you are in the present.

Is "Fun Shit" some sort of establishment? I don't know if I would make the hike to the desert to see Fun Shit.

Sounds like your plan is about the same as my typical trip out there... get smashed, eat well and sight see / people watch. Drinks in the casinos have gotten more expensive, so I tend to carry a flask out there. It's legal to drink on the street and I spend most of my time just walking the strip - no reason to pay $8 a beer if I don't have to.

The bar outside of Harrahs is fun, but it might be a bit too cold to draw a good crowd this time of year. If you talk to the cab drivers, they will generally have 2 for 1 club passes or free admission cards they'll give you, and they can usually tell you what clubs are best on each night.

Hangover recovery is also a big thing for me out there, so I wind up spending a lot of time in the QUA spa at ceasers, the oxygen bar in the shops @ ceasers, or at the bloody mary brunch at Mon Ami Gabi just inside the front door at Paris on Sat / Sun.

You really almost cant go wrong out there - the vast majority of the restaurants are good, and there is just so much to choose from. You're usually never more than 1,000 feet away from food or beer. Try to see as much as possible.
