Ok, if the camera is just being affected by the lightning and pixels are out of whack, why does the light stop directly at the top of the pyramid. It doesn't bleed down, just up?

That would have absolutely nothing to do with a seriously solid object in front of a lightning bolt, in perspective of the lense.
