Even in TX and other areas. I'm just not sold on 5-10x the cost of a regular cooler. That maybe bad ass for some groups of people, but your average homeowner does not need it.

i went to a 4 day party out at lake somerville and a guy had 3 of the biggest ones they made(back then). 2 were filled with beer and the other with liquor. after the first "icing" i think they maybe added ice once over the whole weekend, and it was just a couple bags in each cooler. this was in april when it was hot as fuck too

they might be expensive but you can tell that it really is a superior cooler once you use one

Seen the same out of the standard 5-days though. We'd only refresh the ice every...well, 5 days. Granted, it was not a huge one, just enough for a couple cases of soda and water. (Iraq)

Those Yetis are fairly heavy too. Guess I just don't get it at this point.

They do seem more durable, but less portable w/o wheels (at least the ones I've seen)

I borrowed a Yeti Tundra 120 for our week long trip to the beach house in Outer Banks.

When we packed up the fridge for the trip home, I put ice on top and when we got back home (1,400 miles in 2 days) there was still ice in the cooler and it was in July when it was well over 100 degrees for that two days.

When you are 100 miles off shore and there is no place to get ice, these coolers really are the best thing out there.

They sound expensive, but if you are using it to make a living and buying ice daily they will pay for themselves. I would love to have one, but since I get free ice from work I can't justify the expense.

My room mate has one, and it's excellent. We've used it on beach vacations without issues.

Yeti coolers are the shit. I have one of their smaller models and will never regret buying it. 420qts???? Don't see the need for something that large and would personally prefer several smaller coolers vs one huge one.
