Those 5 years are going to make a fantastic fucking book though. By now Stockholm had to have set in deep. He no doubt speaks Dari/Pashto. I am sure he got the rape. Probably aged him 30 years.

Released in time to get caught up on the TV show Homeland before the next season starts.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

When you are declared a POW, you still draw full pay and are eligible for promotion as well.

Man that's no joke. Interested to see what all he can tell us. When it comes out I'll have to pick up a copy, I bet it doesn't even take a year; once he is fully debriefed that is, and I'm sure that will take some time. There's undoubtably going to be shit that comes to him for years that he hadn't thought of.

Thank God. I'd venture to guess those five we're getting released anyway

Looks like more and more of his anti-American sentiment is starting to come out to the public. Most of the mystery around his capture has been answered with "he left on his own" in the past but the MSM has kept it on the down low.

But you can't even defend this when your own dad says it.
The latest news and headlines from Yahoo News. Get breaking news stories and in-depth coverage with videos and photos.

Bowe Bergdahl was captured in 2009, and questions remain about the circumstances of his capture and the U.S. government's decision to release five Guantanamo terrorism detainees in exchange for his freedom.

Bob and Jani Bergdahl declined to answer questions about that and other matters on Sunday, but they both expressed joy and gratitude for Bergdahl's safety, at times choking back tears.

Bob Bergdahl said he admired his son's patience, perseverance and ability to adapt during nearly five years as a prisoner of the Taliban. Bowe Bergdahl was freed Saturday in exchange for five Guantanamo terrorism detainees.

"But most of all, I'm proud of how much you wanted to help the Afghan people, and what you were willing to do to go to that length," Bob Bergdahl said, fighting back tears during a press conference in Boise.

"And I think you have succeeded," he added.

              Bob Bergdahl didn't elaborate.
Wouldn't elaborate or couldn't without calling your boy a deserter?

There is a lot more out there. Even comments from those from his unit when he was captured (however you want to put it) from their OP.

All that said, I am still glad for him and his family he is back. But I can't wait to hear the answers to the questions everyone has. How is he going to live with himself after so many died in their efforts to get him back when he first went missing in 2009.

And then you get the dad praising Allah during the press conference and Al Queda agreeing that Allah made this happen because they got their leaders back. We should NEVER negotiate with terrorists.

Did that happen or are you just speculating?

POW’s dad praises Allah at suspicious Rose Garden press conference with Obama

The father of the U.S. soldier released in a prisoner swap with the Taliban in Afghanistan on Saturday ended a White House news conference praising Allah with the most frequently used phrase in the Quran and questions continue to build over the wisdom – and legality – of the trade.

Appearing with President Obama in a brief Rose Garden event, Robert Bergdahl, the father of Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, recited “Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahm,” according to the Daily Caller. In English, that means, “In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Compassionate.”

When he finished reciting, the president hugged him.

Bergdahl’s words echoed the Taliban’s official reaction to the prisoner swap. In a statement, the group that has been at war with the United States since 2001 announced that five of its members who had been held at the American prison at Guantanamo Bay prison had been released, “due to the benevolence of Allah Almighty and the sacrifices of the heroic and courageous Mujahadin of the Islamic Emirate.”

Bergdahl’s use of a Muslim prayer and the Taliban’s portrayal of it as a clear victory for their movement – Taliban leader Mullah Omar on Sunday called the release from Gitmo a “big win” in the Pakistani news outlet Dawn.com – is sure to increase the controversy around Obama’s prisoner swap, helped by a tweet posted to Berdahl’s Twitter account last week vowing to work for the release of the rest of the prisoners at the prison. (That tweet has been deleted.)

Already, top Republicans have said Obama broke the law by releasing five terrorists from Guantanamo Bay without notifying Congress. The president is required by law to give Congress 30 days’ notice before transferring any prisoner out of Gitmo..

“Trading five senior Taliban leaders from detention in Guantanamo Bay for Bergdahl’s release may have consequences for the rest of our forces and all Americans. Our terrorist adversaries now have a strong incentive to capture Americans. That incentive will put our forces in Afghanistan and around the world at even greater risk,” House Armed Services Committee Chairman Howard P. McKeon, R-Calif., and the ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, James M. Inhofe, R-Okla., wrote in a statement, according to Fox News.

The Washington Post on Sunday quoted a “senior administration official” admitting as much, but pretending it didn’t matter.

“Due to a near-term opportunity to save Sergeant Bergdahl’s life, we moved as quickly as possible,” the official said, according to the Post. “The administration determined that given these unique and exigent circumstances, such a transfer should go forward notwithstanding the notice requirement.”

The law, in short, is what the White House says it is, “bismillah.”

Bergdahl’s statement didn’t go unnoticed on Twitter.

This fucker left the wire and asked natives how to get hooked up with Al Queda. He wanted to help them fight against our forces and to drive us out of AFghanistan. He lasted as long as he did because he (speculation) worked with the enemy. It's not stockholm, he was already loving the enemy.

His ass should have been killed after his debriefing.

That's the info I'm hearing as well... deserter at minimum and maybe aiding and abetting the enemy and a traitor.

In other words.. a hero to the current president and his administration, no wonder they went to enormous efforts to get him back.

You know what sucks more? He gets all the benefits of a POW and is going to get paid for the rest of his life.
