Seriously, on the tickets, the statute reads you must 1)move over or 2)do 20 under the posted limit. If you can't move over, then you must reduce your speed to 20 under the limit. If you say you did, then the ticket is wrong.
No front plate is technically not enforceable at the moment (according to city legal), so I don't know what you are going to do but get a lawyer. I'm sure they can win that one for you for now.Comment

I had a close encounter with a douche cop today and it really pissed me off. I just picked up a jetski trailer and was on my way back home. I stopped at a gas station on 183 and Industial. That specific gas station from Airport fwy you can enter to the backside of the gas station. I parked on the back side of the gas station entrance because there was a longer curb in which my truck and trailer would fit. I get out and the moment I get to the side of the building, I see this cop starring me down. I guess he didn't like me parked there or something. I am inside for probably 4 minutes and I can see him still starring at me (parked in front) while I am inside looking for something to drink! As I am leaving I stop at the trash can to throw a receipt away and he is still starring. I walk back to my truck, get in and notice he takes off to the adjacent side of the gas station to airport freeway. I go Industrial and he is in the turning lane to get onto Industrial. I just sat there and let him pass and he took off like a bat out of hell. I think he stopped a few streets up to wait for me but I turned around. Fuck that guy...Originally posted by Cmarsh93zComment

I got pulled over in Roanoke two days ago. 43 in a 30. No ticket.
That is the first time I can remember ever getting a "please slow down". Honesty and a CHL go a long way I guess.

I had a cop in Houston tell me if you could not get over then you had to slow down 20mph under the speed limit and make an attempt to get over a lane. I think someone was butthurt.Comment

Slow Down or Change Lanes for Stopped Emergency Vehicles
SB 193 implements new requirements for motorist
approaching stopped emergency vehicles.
SB 193 requires drivers nearing stopped emergency vehicles-with lights activated -to either slow down or change lanes.
The law states a driver must either vacate the lane closest to the stopped emergency vehicle if the road has multiple lanes traveling in the same direction or slow down 20 miles per hour below the speed limit. (If the speed limit is below 25 mph the driver must slow down to 5 mph.)
Emergency vehicles include police, emergency medical service and fire vehicles.
A violation is punishable by a maximum fine of $200. If the violation results in property damage, the maximum fine increases to $500. If the violation results in bodily injury, the offense is enhanced to a Class B misdemeanor.
The new law was passed in the last regular session of the Texas Legislature and went into effect Sept. 1, 2003.

How much is a no front LP ticket?
I would certainly try to fight the other ticket on principle. Nothing would piss me off more than doing everything right, and then being ticketed for EXACTLY what I did right by the law.
However, only the OP knows if he is stretching the truth on that one. Also, it's a magazine.
