Man this sucks. 2 nails in 2 sidewalls in a week. It sucks how sidewall damage means a new tire.

buying your tires from discount tire and getting a nail in the sidewall means you get a free tire if you buy the warranty. just food for thought.....

I know belt is the wrong term to use, but a majority of people don't understand what you mean when you explain to them the construction of a tire. If either a belt OR a ply come apart, it's bad news.

I've plugged a couple of tires right on the edge where the tire meets the sidewall (more on the sidewall side) and didn't have any issues. Of course, I replaced the tire pretty quick, but it was enough to keep me going for a few weeks. Just don't do anything stupid like drag race or run an AutoX event.

Many years ago, I remember having a new set of 315's installed on the rear of my '03 Cobra when they started building a couple of houses around me. There was no way to avoid the construction and all of my cars had several patches from damn roofing nails. I've felt your pain...

I'm pretty sure the solution has been around for a while. My dad taught me that you need to save your money because sometimes shit happens. Or as ice cube says "dumb nicca don't spend it, as soon as you get it, and recognize imma captain and you a leutenant"

Horrible idea, they are a lot more expensive, and still need to be replaced one punctured for the exact same reasons. Those only help you get to the tire shop once you do have a blow-out/puncture.
