If its a state road you cant just put up any mail box post technically... people do it tho. Ive pissed off few people that do the overly built solid metal posts when I pull them out of the ground. Some mail personal wont deliver to unapproved posts/boxes.

State provides the base, posts and brackets and installs them to specs for txdot and usps. Only thing person has to provide is the box.


Its basicly covering the states ass with them installing an approved post.

Cover it with wheel bearing grease, that's what a guy did to his to stop me, but I degreased and cleaned it and threw it back in his tree where it belonged.
