  • How would you interpret this rule?

Looking at the TrueStreet class at Super Chevy and wonder if I could get in on a technicality. Seems the last sentence is not worded very clearly. Car in question is a fox body w/lsx swap.

Do I have to have a Chevy in order to Participate in a Super Chevy Show?

Super Chevy Shows are open to Chevy powered and Chevy bodied entries for all classes including race, car show, car corral, and autocross. The only exception is for entries with a GM LS engine, which are allowed.

I think their intention was to allow LS motors out of Pontiacs and GMC's.

No arguing that may have been their intention, but the def. did not clarify that very well.

I'd try to call someone and state your case, but I don't think they intended for you to be in.

What did you expect when you performed the sacrilegious act of putting a Chevy engine in a Ford!

                You have bastardized the mustang!

One of the local guys used to run his Chevy-powered Ranchero at Super Chevy every year. But as I recall the rule said "Chevy powered or Chevy bodied" at the time. They may have changed it since then.
