So I'm in a tiny town in West Tenn attending a customer "onsite" tomorrow. This town is DRY, and yet there is water everywhere. So much so, the freak'n frogs are out en masse! The BEST hotel is a Days Inn (bed bugs much?), and they only get like 5 channels on TV. Oh, the wifi??? yeah, it's like at 56kbaud. NO SHIT, 56k!! I bet it isn't even that fast. Freak'n HBO channel, the only one with this problem, has static on every other word. On a good note, I know most of the movie so I can at least enjoy the cinema photography. Oh wait... that's right. This 19" CRT screen from Zenith SUCKS ASS!
I do have to say the people are nice, food; decent. Oh, did I mention the frogs.... the constant frogs..... they beckon even now, for a mate. FUCK AND GET IT OVER WITH YOU LOUD LITTLE FUCKERS!! I CAN'T SLEEP!

I travel plenty, but fortunately never have to deal with motels, or even cheap hotels for that matter.

Situations like this is why corner stores still carry nudie mags, porn on 56k would suck. lol

What town? I spend time in Parsons frequently. Parsons isn't completely dry though. There is a buffet pizza joint in town, they serve draft beer. But if you go on Sunday, at 6pm they will pull the beer off your table whether you are done or not. There is a bar in town, can't recall the name. But they close at 10, and closed on Sundays. I can't remember what the only motel is, but it's either a 50 yr old Holiday Inn or a Days Inn. We drive to Lexington to hang out and drink. We are all members of the Moose Lodge #2091 for this very reason. Only place open past 10 and on Sundays that serves liquor.

I was in Ripley last night. Damn near Arkansas. Decent people, don't get me wrong, probably a nice place to raise kids, but what a shit hole to visit. I'm sitting in Nashville Airport now. Drink'n a cold beer listening to live country music by some uknown. Things are looking up! (If I never post again, my plane went down....)
