Would have been easy to do after she fell. Didn't look like she would fight too much...

in this case, it's because about 2 minutes after where that clip shuts off, she lapses into unconsciousness and becomes comatose. btw..she also had oxycodone and cocaine in her system.

          Wrong.

What about sports players who hit a lick on an opponent that is a foul and the person that was fouled ends up paralyzed? How many players have been kicked out of the league for that? I know of hockey players that have been boarded and end up injured, and the offending player is penalized/fined, but how many have ever been kicked out of the league? What about football?

He didn't mean to make her a veggie, he was fat and probably could not have caught her. He used a tool that may have been in violation with policy, but he did not intend for her to end up like she did.

Hell, she even had her hands in the front?

I guess if she would have gotten away and ran into traffic and killed, you would like to see the old/fat deputy fired for not catching her???

This shit goes both ways, and each of those ways is against the police.

And I support the cops on this one. Except for the violating policy and shooting her in the back with the tazer part...

Because police work is the same as playing sports. Makes sense if you are looking to make a bunch of fucking excuses and cover for someone and their sloppy ass work. Now it is her fault that fat ass couldn't catch her too. I guess he should have shot her if she got out of taser range. lmao

You get the gist of my meaning, you don't need to take such a hard stance.

Cops are always going to make mistakes, and what happened was not intentional.

Again, it's the broken record of you armchair quarterbacking every police action and having perfect hindsight.

I guess if this job was so easy, everyone would be doing it.

Edit: I skipped right over the part where it FDLE said that the use of the Taser was justified.

Run from the cops while high and take the consequences.

                    I like this comment

For those posting here who have no prior law enforcement or public safety expereince, you should probably walk the walk before you talk the talk. Anyone who would attempt to run IN HANDCUFFS is not in their right mind and dangerous...period. The can still kick, bite, headbutt and spit. I am confident that it was not this troopers intention for the uspect to hit her head and die. It was an unfortunate result of a person who chose to break the law and now the family is left to face the consequences. It blows my mind how any of the blame here falls on the trooper or FHP. DONT BREAK THE LAW...simple.
Can imagine the comments if he had done a flying tackle on her and the same thing happened.....Why didn't he just tase her? Why didn't he just let her run until she got tired?

Isn't it the job of the police to armchair quarterback just about everything? And then force someone to take responsibility for their actions? Why are you so averse to having your profession judged using their own methods? It happens in every thread, the conversation is all about the personal responsibility of everyone but the cop in question. You being against armchair quarterbacking is similar to being a Christian and hating Jesus Christ, it is your stock and trade.

Anyway, whether what he did is right or wrong, I just can't believe you equated police work to playing sports. As in, the police have no more duty to their prisoners than a player in the NFL does to the other players on the field. Laughable to even make that comparison.

                              Shocking video.

I am okay with it. Run from the popo and he is bringing an ass whoopin every time. The tazer just makes it less painful for the chase-er.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

                                Innocent until proven guilty.

I'm not against having LEOs scrutinized, but to have people who don't know shit about it make uneducated assumptions gets old.

I was not comparing the police profession to professional sports. I was comparing the intent, but I guess that went over your head. Next time I'll dumb it down for you.
