The argument of a kid using a gun is less deadly than an adult is the same as the two of you saying a kid throwing a rock is different than a mob...you throw enough or a few that are big enough, you’re going to inflict harm at which point, if I was armed; I would eliminate the threat...

So if you were in open carry, a kid comes up to you, says "fuck you dipshit", throws a hand full of rocks and takes off running, you would open fire?

I'm not sure where you are going with this link, but it backs up my claim that on duty officers can be, and are exhonerated. The kid also shot a rifle at the agents, which is a far cry from throwing rocks, not at all a similar case.
