The comment shouldn't go un-noticed, as it was innappropriate for a teacher to say to a student, and she obviously knows it. Paid leave and potential firing is way out of hand for a teacher with her record though. Other than a brief discussion with the principal about it, nothing else should happen imo.

Being that he was disrupting class, and being disrespectful, she should have sent him to the principal, and leave it at that.

That aside, this is America, learn english or GTFO. Demanding the way that he did shows that he has no respect for the country that he lives in, and doesn't deserve to be here, and certainly doesn't deserve to be pandered to. That goes for ANY nationality that acts that way.

shes done probably ready to tell them to stick it anyways. these teachers nowadays have kids that dont even speak english whos parents dont speak english. then the district wants to know why they cannot read? very tough to be a teacher in this day and time i dont know how they do it.

At the end of the day she is a teacher and is held on a diff standard. It's childish to make a comment like that. I understand if the kid and teacher had a relationship of joking around but they did not. I'd lose respect for that teacher

If it was made as a racist comment towards a student who wasn't trying to provoke his teacher I would agree with the punishment, but it wasn't. it was in response to a punkass kid acting like an asshole. it should have been explained how it can be taken out of context and been don't with I think. punkass kids grow into punkass adults when their bullshit is let slide.

As far as I am concerned, she said nothing wrong. HE is the one that repeatedly brought the fact that he was messcan. If he doesn't like what he was told, then he shoudn't have brought it up. I hope he ends up in a ditch somewhere.
