  • Electronic Gurus....LED lighting....

I know you can piece together the components of a LED light, well not having any experience whatsoever here, has any one ever actually built there own?

on ebay you can buy the bulb and driver combo, is it just as simple as hooking them together or is there a more complicated series of wiring maneuvers that need to be done with capacitors etc?

If its a standard LED light I imagine it would just need the proper resistors to prevent overcurrent from burning out the diode. You would also need to find a way to properly aim the light output so it wouldn't blind everyone (I'm assuming this is for a car)...essentially the same effect of putting an HID bulb into a standard light housing.

Actually for bowfishing. I can get the lights I want for 100$ each but I just noticed to piece it together is about 2/3 the cost.
