'09-'10 change:
C6 Corvette General Discussion - 2008 Coupe or 2010 coupe? - What improvements have been made from 2008 to 2010? Would you reccommend a 2008 for the right price vs a new model year vette?
'11 changes:
C6 Corvette General Discussion - Changes for the 2011 Corvette - I listed these changes in another post about the download for the 2011 Corvette Order Guide (http://www.kerbeck1.com/2011COG.pdf), but I wanted to start a separate post to discuss the actual changes coming for 2011. After going through the whole order...
Another little tidbit that I've noticed personally is on my '10, the oil temp heats right up. I'm above 150F within 5 minutes or so. On my buddy's '09 Z06, it takes FOREVER to get his oil temp up to a good operating range. I think GM put a bypass in for the oil cooler until good operating temp is achieved and then the oil cooler kicks in for 2010+ models.
I beat the crap out of my cars, but I try not to abuse them by ragging out cold engines, etc. Many people aren't like that, so if you get an '08 or '09, it may be a non-issue, but it's more likely the previous owner redlined a relatively 'cold' engine because it just takes so long to get it up to temp at least for the Z06 model.Ford
