I don't know anyone who spends $1000 a year on coffee, that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard.
I spend that much. Probably $700 of it hits my expense report though...

Yep, a lot of those in my office, even though we have a coffee maker and the company supplies the coffee for free....

I'm figuring I'm on the low end of the payscale around here...

            Peet's coffee > starbucks.

"The three founders of Starbucks, who knew Alfred Peet personally, founded Starbucks in Seattle, Washington and bought the coffee beans for Starbucks directly from Peet's during their first year of business in 1971."

Peet never sold out (or up in this case).

Yea, anyone should be fucking ashamed of themselves for spending a dime at Starbucks. They charged Midwood Ambulance personnel $130 for water that was requested to help treat patients at Ground Zero on 9/11. And only after the negative press did the apologies, platitudes, and donations come about from corporate.

That's one store making a poor decision. How else is corporate supposed to find out about events like that?

Nuts. In the past 2 years I've given a whopping $10 to Starbucks. I bought the nice lady at AT&T who helped me transfer my "unlimited data package to my new phone after BestBuy said it was impossible to do (I was getting a free HTC inspire, a gift card. Starbucks was right next door, I assumed she was a coffee drinker. I've tried coffee less than 3 times. Awful every time.

                            I don't drink coffee, it's disgusting.

I work with a woman - who comes in 10 minutes late every day.....and has a Starbucks cappo, frappo whatever that's almost $7.00. One day I did the math & told her she was spending $1800 a year at Starbucks. She didn't care.....she makes less than $60K a year and 3 kids.

Coffee rocks.. but there is no reason to be given any franchise your money for it. Make that shit at home.
