I wear Blackhawk boots when I'm in my blues, and solid black new balance shoes when I'm in my bike uniform. You'll never see an officer in Blue wearing sandals. Lol

In Iraq if a cop walks up to you, they are in uniform. Insurgents can get the uniform but always forget the shoes. Real cops have those nice, shiny shoes and insurgents have tennis shoes or sandals. Chalk it up to PTSD but I check out the shoes and then up to the badge and THEN the rest of the officer.

And how could it go bad? Either I absolutely refuse to cooperate, I call 911 and report what's going on to verify the officer or drive to where there are plenty of people around. When you've been taught to take in your surroundings, you do exactly that. Cops without their uniform shoes? Insurgents who want to kill me and those in my car.

He does have a point though, if I saw a cop in sandals and wearing a plastic U.S. Marshal badge, I'd be cautious. Can't be too careful with all of those fake officers out there these days. I hear stories everyday about fake cops in croc's pulling people over and piithb.

Forever frost doesn't do any thing beyond what your average cop does when he pulls some one over. It is an overly cautious attitude. Yet he is a nut because of it. What is it about cops and double standards?

I think it would be funny to test this and see how many people asked WTF. Throw on my Reebox water sandals with some white sox and just see how many people noticed. LOL

Exactly. Or a Crown Vic and a T shirt that says police. I've read too many news reports of criminals doing exactly that and yet I am seen as a nut because I'm cautious. I'm not the one wearing a pistol, pepper spray, a vest, a radio, a camera, a mic, access to backup, spare ammo, a shotgun in the trunk to EVERY interaction and stop. I realize this isn't Iraq but nothing I learned from there or my training has ever led me wrong.

Yes, I do change lanes when I pass an overpass, I dodge trash in the road and avoid fresh asphalt potholes and leave at least a car length in front of me every time I stop behind another car but none of that is unsafe.

Osiris, that's why I stay to myself, avoid people whenever possible and have a very solitary life. Mental issues are a bitch, even when they're treated not to mention the physical effects.
