  • If you were going to build a 50s-60s cruiser..

What would you go for? I've been musing buying an old classic for a while now, i've done just about everything else. Now that i've got a company truck, I can afford to get something that can sit for a while as i build it. Only requirement is that it's NOT a mustang, or typical "muscle car". must have a full sized back seat as i've got a 4 year old and another one due in early July. I want something my wife would feel comfortable driving if she gets too preggo to get in the jeep. my ideas so far are :

    Fairlane,

    Dart

    Comet

What would you guys go for?

I'm not sure I can think of a cool 50-60s 4 door(64 Lincoln?), but they definitely have advantages over a two door with kids and car seats.

And my 2 door choice would be a 62 Tbird vert. I miss my bird....

Doesn't have to be a 4door necessarily. Just has to be a full sized car with a real back seat.

Lol my wifes not a fan of station wagons. Neither am I really.

There's a 210 '54 locally for cheap, supposedly runs and all but I'm skurred the amount of rust and body repair that's probably gonna be required will be more then I could handle or afford. I do love those cars and a 5.3 carbed big cammed motor with modern ac and stuff would be dope.

Probably would add the optional sharp teeth to the front bumper.

It doesn't have a back seat or 4 doors but this is my cruiser / parts chaser. It sits about 4 inches lower now.

I am on the lookout for a 64 Galaxie wagon for a cruiser / tow vehicle. 32V swap, IRS and air ride.
