Train tracks that run along 26 and L D Lockett

Just wondering if those tracks are still used much? One of the homes that we like is pretty close to the tracks. Last month when we were driving around the area we never did see a train running but wondered if we just timed our trips to where we did not see one.

They do see occasional use.

The tracks are about a block down from where the lot is. I could live with a "tourist" train running from Grapevine to the Stockyards once/twice a day. But having a few coal trains would get old FAST! Not being from the area I figured I would ask people who lived in the area.

They were not used at all for a long period, i think 07- through late 09 but seems transit has started up again... not heavy though. Don't quote me on actual dates.. but being around the area just something i noticed.

I live a few blocks away from Train tracks off 377 on the west side. It's not too bad... You get use to it.
