    god bless.
My wife took the kids to Surf Side last year and rented a house for the week.

It ended up being about $850 for the house, and driving down there is a heck of a lot cheaper than airfare.

    They fished/swam/etc.... Very reasonable vacation.

It would be a whole lot cheaper to simply pitch a tent on the garbage dump by 121 in Haltom City to experience the ambience of Juarez, and no escort is required.

I know it's cheaper to drive somewhere, but flying in an airplane is part of what I'm wanting to have them experience.

If you want to do Corpus, non resort, but you could rent a condo down there, let me know.

My old man builds condos and townhouses near the beach in Corpus Christi and Port Aransas. I can give you the rental agent's info.

Not sure if you saw them, as they are just off the road in Port A, right before you enter town.

But here are the Pirate's Bay condos he's currently still building, but there are already people who have bought them and have them in the rental pool down there.

Not bad. My parents just sold their lot at Gulf Waters and have their RV up for sale. Getting out of full timing and bought a house in Corpus. It's rough being retired. I'll take a look at it the next time I'm down there. I have a vague notion of maybe moving down there at some point since they are getting up there in years, and would be looking around at condos. Probably more in Corpus than Port A though.

He's built a few others that are in Corpus, and still on the island. I'd have to get the names of them, but most are on SPID after the turn to head to Port A.

They are called, Beach Breeze, Breezeways of Encantada, The Marquesas, and Palm Bay Village.

I think all of the sites have been taken down since construction finished on them, and all of them have been sold. But if you're ever headed down there looking for a condo to rent, let me know and i'll get you the info for rentals, and if you mention him i'm sure they'll give you a deal

So how worried should I be about booking an all-inclusive to Playa del Carmen/Riviera Maya area? Would we be safe enough if we wanted to take them on a few tours (like the pyramids, etc)?
