  • Any website developers here?

Im looking for someone that might be able to put together a searchable database. It will have 5-6 parameters that need to be searched for maximum output. It will basically need to multiply numbers and show the greatest product. It will also need to be able to eliminate categories of information based on the input by the user.

I dont think that the database is that complicated, but I need the database to be built and assembled onto the website. Later on, if possible, it would be great if it could gather information from other websites and input the information into the database. Im pretty sure I could build this database in excel using some macros but I need it web based.

Anyways, if anyone here can do the work, please let me know. I have a very small budget to get a small working database that uses manual updates of information. Im hoping this will bring enough traffic that I can justify spending more money on autopopulation of information from external sites.

So, if you can do it, please let me know. The cheaper the better (free would be nice but I wont hold my breath)

Doesn't sound that difficult. Mysql can do all that pretty easily. Do you already have a website and just need this integrated, or do you need a host and all?

That part will be more difficult as you'll need some form of spider.

I'm pretty sure there are several people on the site who can build part or both, but don't recall any member names right now. Hopefully they'll see your post!

Haha, I spent like 2 hours trying to set up a simple "Hello World!" site on Apache on a Linux computer (not that much experience with Linux, even less experience with Apache). Finally found my problem was not having execute permissions on the site's root folder.
