I worked at a call center for a week, trying to get tech experience. One week was all it took for me to realize that they couldn't pay me enough to work with most of those people.

POriginally posted by DamonH View PostA few years ago Bank of America opened a huge call center in my building. The people are pretty much as you describe. The ride up on the elevator is usually spent listening to these people complain about other people which is completely ironic to me. We had a tornado warning a year ago, the alarms went off in the building and almost all of these idiots stood in the center of the building 8 stories beneath the glass roof (I work at the Infomart).

I'm not saying there aren't exceptions.
I have "acceptable" (chest, back, and two half sleeves) tattoos, those that I can cover with a polo. The reason I personally chose not to go any further was because I didn't want to eliminate myself from certain career advancement if someone ever had to make the choice.

We have an area outside where a lot of people could sit around and eat their buttered donuts and talk about wrasslin' but they don't go out there, they hang out right near the elevator.
