  • Life insurance question

I've convinced a friend, who has a daughter (good friends with my daughter), that he should get life insurance. It's cheap (I have 1mil for $50/mo), and he's on board. He's nervous about the testing they do (blood or urine? I can't remember if they do both) because he smokes weed 2 or 3 nights a week, and an occasional cigarette.

Will he be denied if they find marijuana in him, or trace amounts of nicotine, or will it only impact his premium?
Ronald Reagan:"Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it."

Homer: "Bart...there's 2 things I know about women. Never give them nicknames like "jumbo" or "boxcar" and always keep receipts...it makes you look like a business man."

I would be CLEAN before I let anyone take blood from me for insurance reasons. Yes, his premiums would be higher, if he's insurable at all with the THC showing up. You never know when those test results could be used for something else in the future, either.

Whole life over Term. They will get height, weight, blood pressure, echocardiogram test for heartbeat, and take 2 viles of blood. They check blood for HIV/AIDs, nicotine and drugs. Nicotine will impact his premium, and traces of weed will result in a denial of coverage letter.

I just had an exam for the life insurance I'm trying to get. They everything Gaber mentioned except for the EKG.
