  • Rent house in HEB area?

I know some people here have rental properties. Got one in the HEB area? My landlord is trying to sell the one I'm in. Looking for at least a 3/2/2 with 1800+ sq ft in a safe neighborhood. Would love to stay around 1200/month, but might go higher depending on the place. I have two very well-behaved inside dogs, and I don't smoke indoors. No kids. No cats. Good credit. My own kitchen appliances and lawn equipment. I need to give 60-day notice.

Let me know if you have something that fits the bill.

    Thanks in advance!

Or maybe Hurst Euless Bedford, whichever you think is more logical.

Why not buy? Interest rates are very low and lots of places to choose from.

He'll be off to Colorado in a few years or less.

Hit up RealEstateNate and have him do an MLS search for ya. Plenty of rent houses out there that might not show up other than on the MLS, and it doesn't cost you a thing.

A 15 year fixed will typically break even in 22 months (in other words you would pay down enough of the principal to cover Realtor commissions and title policy).

Yep, that's the plan. Just waiting on the old lady to get to a stopping point with her schooling, and get the rest of our debt paid off. I need to get to the mountains ASAP. Don't want to buy a house and be stuck trying to sell it in a couple of years, especially in this market. I really love the flexibility of renting.

No thanks. I'd still have the burden/stress of trying to sell the house. I know I'll be here at least another year. At that time, I can see where I'm at, and maybe do another year lease, or maybe not. I may be ready to go by then and if the opportunity presents itself...

And a shorter note obviously means higher payments, which cuts into what we can put towards debt.
